Earthcare Connections Intentions – April 2007
April 22; – Easter Week 3
1. Today Jesus offers us peace. May we in turn bring peace and wholeness to our beautiful and bountiful land and all the creatures that grace it. We pray to the Lord.
2. Jesus draws attention to his wounds and asks for belief. That we acknowledge the gouges and blight we have brought upon our earth and make efforts to repair and reinvigorate it. We pray to the Lord.
April 29; – Easter Week 4
1. Jesus provided a fish breakfast for his disciples. We pray that we make the resources of our earth available to all -- justly and generously. We pray to the Lord.
2. That we daily give blessing and honour and glory and might to the God who has given us an earth that can provide extravagant riches for all. We pray to the Lord.
Earthcare Connections Intentions – May 2007
May 6; – Easter Week 5
1. May we make Earth into a garden of abundance where people will no longer hunger or thirst. We pray to the Lord.
2. As good shepherds and stewards, may we change the world's polluted waterways into "springs of the waters of life." We pray to the Lord.
May 13; – Easter Week 6
1. During this season of planting and hope, may the One who promised to "make all things new" inspire generous care for all creation. We pray to the Lord.
2. May each of us help transform our earthly city into one that clearly reflects the glory of God. We pray to the Lord.
May 20; – Easter Week 7 - Ascension of the Lord
1. May those who prepare the soil plant with the hope of an abundant harvest. We pray to the Lord.
2. May all who steward the earth's resources make our planet a reflection of the new Jerusalem. We pray to the Lord.
May 27; Pentecost; – Ordinary Time Week
8
1. May all Christians walk lightly on the earth so as to assure life for future generations. We pray to the Lord.
2. May the feast of the Ascension remind us that all creation is holy and destined for glory. We pray to the Lord.
