Earthcare Connections developed this logo in 2003 to encompass all that Earthcare stands for and all of the programs that have been developed. This logo incorporates the purposes of Earthcare Connections, including the Earthcare Balloon, Genesis Land Conservancy and The Learning Centre. The logo also symbolizes the principles on which the organization is based.

Green, the main colour in the logo, represents life and growth. People need to continue to grow mentally and spiritually to fulfil their potential. Growth is part of the circle of life.

The circular aspect of the logo represents that circle of life. There must be a union and a balance among all elements that exist on earth, as one depends upon the other. Together, all can flourish.

Earthcare Connections also exists and functions within this circle of life, as denoted by its name being incorporated within the circle, not outside it. Also, the simplicity of the “Earthcare Connections” type represents the simplicity of nature. If we take the time to reflect upon nature, we will find that nature is complex in the ways all elements work together. Yet if we examine each individual element, we find a simplicity that allows one harmony of the whole. That is the way of God’s creation.

Within this life circle of life is the land. Although the land appears dormant and still -- only to be displaced by other elements -- it contains and provides for life. From this invaluable resource comes the fruit of our harvest, the nutrients needed for our health and the materials humans use in so many ways. We must be stewards to keep the soil fertile and productive.

From the land come plants to provide oxygen, food, shade and habitats for many species. A single leaf, a sign of what plants provide for us, also represents all of creation. Like Earthcare's vision states, we must live in balance with God's creation. If you see not a leaf but a bird, please do not fret. The dove represents the Christian values and beliefs on which Earthcare is based. Our spirituality confirms that life and the elements of the earth are gifts to be used responsibly and respectfully.
